Intel helped me graduate!

ABOUT THE PROJECT
I am a recently graduated Architecture student; I could not have done so well without Intel's Quad Core Processor. The computer is an Architect’s go-to tool; we design our buildings from the ground up primarily within the digital realm. Our school projects deal with real world building types and sites. My inspiration comes from my ideas of the project and the spaces I create. Looking at other architects’ work is also a big inspiration. Rendering my dream buildings so they come to life helps make my projects stand out from the competition and they become more real. The computer can be extremely photorealistic, but I often make my renderings look more hand-rendered to help convey a sense of the spaces I create. I feel that people can easily connect to something that looks more artistic.
HOW INTEL PLAYED A PART IN THE PROJECT
My junior year I was stuck as school all day and night. Renderings took days – literally – and in that time I almost felt sick, worrying if my images would come out the way I wanted. Time is the name of the game, so the more efficient someone is, the more the project gets developed. I couldn’t take the lack of speed anymore, and decided to build my own computer over the summer. Friends thought I was crazy, but after a lot of research I built my own PC, and have been working from home ever since! My Q6600 Quad core runs at 2.4 Ghz and is very, very fast. Nothing can stop it. My rendering programs throw everything they can at it and it never quits! I am literally rendering full color images in under an hour, and I love to watch my CPU gauge monitor all 4 cores. These images show my process; I work within 6 very high-powered rendering and modification software packages, and can now multi-task like a professional from the comfort of my own home. I would have never developed the rendering skills I have now without my Intel Quad Core processor.
