Achievement

I guess I’m supposed to say something about one of the awards I’ve won, or how I get to make innovative treatments for commercials now. But my most rewarding achievement was watching one of my short films in a packed theater and hearing the crowd laugh loudly.

Inspiration

I was inspired by other motion graphics artist; such as green towel, mk12, and lifelongfriendship society. San Francisco inspires me a lot; I get a lot of ideas just from walking around. The city surpries me, sometimes I walk around and see the most random occurrences, that’s usually when I say to myself “Now what if (insert surreal event) happened!”

Dream

My goal is to finish every project I think of.

I think that once technology allows visual effects artist to preview HD and film resolution in realtime we will see a surge in motiongraphics and visual fx work from people of all ages. Hopefully it will be around the same time that 2k digital film cameras become affordable for the general public. Then I think there will be a true revolution for creativity and the moving picture medium

Insight

Everything I do is because of technology. The fact that one person can design, edit, and do all the visual effects in their bedroom shows that you don’t need huge budgets, or a team of people to communicate an idea. A tip I would give to others is: turn on auto-save and organize your folders and filenames. Most importantly: If you have fun making it, people will have fun watching it.
